EOS G307 Gothic Turquoise

So now that the whole graduation thing is out of the way -(squeal!)-, I'm thinking that it is time for a new contact review!! Ok well the contacts aren't very new but as you may have noticed, I'm a little behind. At least this way I have had plenty of time with them so I can be more accurate with comfort and what have you. Let's get on with it.

Review:

color/design: 3/5. First off, the color is lovely. I only have a few complaints that keep me from wearing these all too often. First, they are clearly pixelated, which I'm not a fan of. I'm a little OCD so I don't really like that the limbal ring isn't a smooth circle (as you can see from the lens detail pictures). I also wish that the hole for my pupil was a little smaller. It may look wider because the yellow coloring in the middle blends so well with my own color, but I still wish the turquoise came in a little closer because the way is currently is, I don't think it change my eye color all too much. Rather, it more of just lightens and widens my limbal ring? I don't know.. it's hard to describe. Sorry I'm so particular. :/

comfort: 4/5. I am probably the only one but I just don't find EOS as comfortable as GEO's. And I seriously think I might be the only one because everyone else seems to prefer EOS so take my rating with a grain of salt. It isn't that they aren't comfy, they just aren't as comfy. I can wear these for about 4-5 hours before they start feeling uncomfortable (which I guess is actually all you are suppose to wear them for, so I can't complain tooooo much :P).

enlargement: 3/5. These lenses are 14.5mm, however I already have a dark limbal ring naturally and as you can see from the comparison photos, these actually lighten my limbal ring quite a bit. I think this fact may take away from the enlarging factor because I just don't feel like these are as enlarging as they should be.

vendor: 5/5. I got these lenses from www.kiwiberry1-collection.com and they were just lovely to deal with. My lenses came in about a week and a half coming from Canada which isn't really so bad considering it is international (although only barely, as I am in the US). They often have pretty good sales so make sure to check them out. :)

Well, thats about it for this review. More reviews to come very very soon! :D Please comment with comments, suggestions, questions, or just to say hi. And if you aren't already, please follow me for more reviews (or to just be awesome!).

Natural Eye Color

I am making this post to give you a basis for comparison when I make my circle lens reviews. My natural eye color is green with subtle hints of bluish and gets a little yellow in the middle. The following photo is a close up.

Well then there you have it.  Keep this in mind when reading my reviews as contacts will react with my coloring differently then they will on brown eyes. :)

Thats all for now,
Ciao!

Review:

color/design: 5/5 The color of these contacts really blend in with my natural green. Plus I love the mini heart detailing. I think that these would not look as vibrant on dark eyes, although they would probably still be really pretty in a more subtle way. For me these are flipping gorgeous, I am a HUGE fan. These are my second favorite lenses so far, coming in right after the geo t-stars. LOVE.

comfort: 5/5 I was a little weary because at 15.0 mm diameter, these are pretty large. But so far Geo has really impressed me with their comfort. I can wear these for about 10 hours before they start to feel a tad dry. I am a happy girl.

enlargement: 5/5. HUGE. Seriously. They make my eyes look super dolly and I love it! They are so large they give even me a halo effect as you can see in the photographs.. and my eyes are not too small as it is. I will definitely consider getting 15.0 mm diameter again. :)

vendor: 5/5 I got these bad boys at mycandyeyes.com. So far I love this vendor. They are quick to get back to me when I have a question and so far I always get my contacts 1 week from when I order them, which is a good shipping time considering that shipping is free worldwide. I will continue to buy from them. Also, mycandyeyes.com is having a sale for the month of April and all of their contacts are $15 a pair. hurray!

I think that is all I have to say. I took some more pictures of this pair in different circumstances.. let me know if they were helpful. Also would it be helpful if I made videos of my contacts? Maybe I will try that out next time and see how it goes.. Feel free to ask any questions of I left anything out!

Cheers!

EOS Super Neon G209 Pink

Like I promised, I have a few contacts that need reviewing in my possession. I like to be able to wear the contacts for at least a few days so I can better assess comfort and such. Because of this, I will not be able to do all the reviews for my new contacts all at once . First here are the EOS super neon G209 pink.

Info:

base curve: 8.8
diameter: 14.5 mm
make: EOS super neon

Comparison (one in, one out):

And for the ratings..

Color/design: 4/5. The pattern of the super neon's is really pretty I think. However if you are looking for a natural looking lens, this is not for you. The black, thick limbal ring would make it hard this contact to look natural even if you got them in a natural color. Seeing as natural wasn't what I was going for, it works out. The contact is really opaque, which is what I was looking for because I didn't want my green to show though and distort the pink. However, I was thinking that these would be a brighter pink. Instead, they are more of a baby pink and in some lightings they can look like a really light pretty brown. That is ok, and I still like them, they do not look freakish or anything. They are very girly which I like because I'm extremely girly. :) Of course in the sun my pupil shrinks up pretty small and so you can see my green through the middle. This is not very noticeable unless you are gazing closely into my eyes and plus I mostly wear circle lenses when going out, which is at night and my pupil is large enough to fill the hole. So, overall not an issue.

Comfort: 4/5. They aren't uncomfortable per say, but just not as comfy as my geo's. It might be because these are a little larger, but I find that I have to apply drops to my eyes about 4 hours into wearing these things. I guess that isn't so bad, and like I said my eyes may just need a bit more time to get use to them. So a little drying, but overall comfy.

Enlargement: 4/5. These suckers are pretty big. Of course I don't have much bases from comparison, but they cover a good amount of my eye and the black limbal ring really makes them pop. If it makes it easier to see the enlarging effect, I will post a photo of my eyes with one contact in and one out. Let me know if this would help in the comments!

Vendor: 5/5 This is my second time ordering from mycandyeyes.com and they are still flawless. :)

Also please leave any other suggestions, remarks, opinions, etc in the comments.

I hope you find my review useful! :)

Contact Overload

Ok so I may have been a little too excited with sales going on right now.. but here are four contacts you can expect to see a review for in the very near future:

EOS super neon G209 purple
EOS super neon G209 pink
EOS G307 turquoise
Geo Xtra WT-A0 hearts green

So keep on the lookout for those!

Also, if you have light eyes and you wear circle lenses, let me know please! I was thinking it may be a good idea to get a list going of all of us since it is sometimes pretty tough to tell what contacts without a brown eye base.

I'm Seeing Stars

It's true that I put off doing a review of my lenses for quite some time. School fought to rule over my life for a bit of time and won the battle. Never the less, here they are. My geo t-star lenses:

Comparison (one in, one out):

p.s. It would be beautiful if you could go ahead and ignore my face and focused on the eye color. ^-^

A little bit about these contacts:
base curve: 8.6
diameter: 14.0 mm
make: geo t-stars

Now that you have seen the picture and know the info, lets move on to the business of rating them.

Color/design: 5/5. Gorgeous. I seriously cannot fathom anyone not wanting stars in their eyes. The stars are bold and noticeable, however unless people are really looking at my eyes, they think the stars are just cool flecks in my natural eye color. I did not expect these to be natural looking, but apparently they can be. I know these are my first pair of lenses, but I already feel like they will be my favorite.

Comfort: 5/5 hands down. I cannot feel these bad boys in my eyes even many hours after they have been in. I have had them since November, so I've got a lot of chances to wear them. I can wear them all day and not feel discomfort. I usually throw in some eye drops if I wear them longer than 8 hours just to be on the safe side, but these contacts seriously rock. The only time I felt discomfort of any kind was because I fell asleep in them (which is very bad, don't do it).

Enlargement: 2/5. I was surprised that these gave any enlargement at all being only 14.0 mm in diameter. However the color is really close to the edge of the contact and the darker limbal ring stands out against my light eyes causing my iris' to look slightly larger. The lack of enlargement doesn't bother me really because the point was the stars and that is what I got. :)

Vendor: 5/5 As I mentioned in my previous post, I bought these contacts from mycandyeyes.com. I was a touch worried because after I placed my order, I read about some people having problems with this site. I'm not sure if these issues were old and have since been resolved or if I am just a lucky one because I had a great experience with this seller. The price is amazing!! ($20 per pair plus free shipping) and I got my contacts a week after I ordered them. I contacted them a couple of times just to ensure good communication and they always got back to me. So overall no complaints about the vendor!

I'll edit this with better photos, but if you have any other questions please feel free to leave them in the comments!
